Jakob Rowlinson
Jakob Rowlinson is a London based artist who uses collage, embroidery, and large-scale textiles to explore ideas around sexuality and gender. Through a process of speculative fiction, he brings together contemporary and historical queer motifs to propose a (re)imagined understanding of the past. Rowlinson studied his BFA at the Ruskin School of Art before completing his MA (Sculpture) at Royal College of Art in 2017. Recent and forthcoming solo exhibitions include a public art commission at the Jönköping Tändsticksmuseet (Sweden) in 2019, and a solo show at Quench Gallery (Margate) in late 2021.
