Jaturi is the given name of my scarecrow work. This name substitutes a scarecrow which resembles a human being, and came from a Korean word (the mother tongue of myself) which means some leftover pieces of cloth or scrap of something. Yes, ‘Jaturi’ itself is humble. Something minority, thrown away, left out, remained, and is on a verge. Usually, it is pronounced as rather strong “ZZA-turi”, than soft “JA-turi”.
Think about the way you treat your PIZZA crust. I would like to announce the poignant word as the name of the fancy scarecrow, so its soul can be turned into something gleeful. Jaturi wants to take some adventure to an unclassified world which we don’t even know what it is. Here is my question. Whether you have your own Jaturi, whether you have your scarecrow on your own - if so, how does the scarecrow live.

The work is made of discarded sample garments and Jaturi from daily life.
